  1. SPACE SHUTTLE PICTURE CD INSTRUCTIONS

  3. Step 1. To view images and search captions, install image
  4. browser software (see below.)
  5.  
  6. Image Specifications
  7.  
  8. Ñ Images are available in TIFF format for your convenience.╩They may be used in any program that can read TIFF images.
  9. Ñ TIFF images are located in the "01"folder inside the "SHUTTLE" folder inside the "CONTENT" folder.

  11. Macintosh Image Browser installation:
  12.  
  13. Ñ Insert CD in drive.
  14.  
  15. Ñ Double Click on the "Mac Install Me First Installer" to install Kudo image browser software on your hard drive.
  16.  
  17. Ñ Launch "Kudo¿ Catalog Reader¬" from your hard drive.╩Choose "Open Catalog" from the "File" menu and click on the catalog named "SHUTTLE" in the "Mac_Kudo" folder on the CD.

  19. Ñ You can choose to copy the ╥SHUTTLE╙ catalog to your hard drive.╩It is located in the ╥Mac_Kudo╙ folder on the CD.╩Double-click on thumbnails to view image full-screen.

  21. Screen Saver installation:

  23. Ñ Drag the "Space Shuttle Screen Saver" into your ╥Control Panels╙ folder inside your ╥System Folder╙ and restart. Set screen saver preferences by double clicking on the screen saver control panel after restarting.

  25. USING IMAGE BROWSER FEATURES

  27. View Image Full Screen

  29. Ñ Double click on any thumbnail to view image.
  30.  
  31. Find/Search Captions in the Catalog
  32.  
  33. Ñ Captions for each image are stored in the "notes" 
  34. field. Captions can be viewed by selecting the large view 
  35. icon on the menu bar. Use these captions to search for 
  36. individual images or groups of images.

  38. Ñ To search captions, click on the "Find" button in the menu 
  39. bar. In the "Find" dialog box, change the pull-down menu 
  40. from "Name" to "Notes", type in the word(s) you are searching 
  41. for (i.e. Columbia or Hubble) and click on the "Find" 
  42. button. Double-click on thumbnails to view image full-screen.

  44. Help/Internet Connection

  46. Ñ Double click on the "Websites" icon in the main window of the CD 
  47. to link to a few resources on the internet that compliment 
  48. the Space Shuttle Picture CD.

  50. ÑThe "Imspace" web site (imspace.com) may also be reached by 
  51. selecting the "Connect to Imspace" option in the "Help" menu in Kudo 
  52. Image Browser. It is full of great user
  53. tips, free upgrades and trouble-shooting tips.
